About Me
My name is Ellee Mateer and I will be a senior this year at Taylorville High School. I am an active participant in the Studio 1518 Competitive Dance Team. I have been dancing since I was three years old and I have been competing in dance for seven years. While dance is a big part of my life I am also heavily involved in school activities including running the Taylorville Athletic Nutrition Center for THS student athletes. Other extracurriculars I have participated in is the Girls THS Track and Field Team, as this year I managed the team. As a visual learner, I believe that CEO has many opportunities for students to get to learn how to be educated while also being able to multitask learning various skills at once. I cannot wait for CEO to show me the many assets I will be able to use in my future career and learn valuable skills that I can apply later on!

Hello, my name is Ellee Mateer and I am a senior at Taylorville High School. This year I have been involved with the Christian County CEO program. This specific class has offered me many opportunities for my entrepreneurial side of mind, and it has been such an awesome experience. Every member of the class is supposed to run their very own personal business. Ellee Jane’s Quill & Co. is a small card business that specializes in personalized, positive, and encouraging greeting cards. I design each card from my laptop, allowing me to customize designs, messages, and layouts to fit different occasions and customer preferences. Unlike many basic card sellers, my cards stand out because they feature original, uplifting quotes that I create myself. The goal of my business is to spread positivity and motivation through fun, unique designs that make people feel valued and encouraged. Each card is thoughtfully designed to be more than just a message—it is meant to inspire confidence, happiness, and emotional connection. Customers can purchase cards for events such as birthdays, celebrations, encouragement, or just to brighten someone’s day.
