About Me
My name is Ella Reiss. I am the 17-year-old daughter of Kacy and Michelle Reiss of Taylorville where I have lived my whole life. I began my education at St. Mary’s Catholic School from kindergarten to sixth grade, then attended Taylorville Junior High School, followed by Taylorville High School where I am currently a Senior. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating at the lake, traveling throughout the country on family vacations, hunting and fishing with my dad, and spending long weekends with my family in southern Illinois. I am a member of the Taylorville High School FFA Chapter, Student Council, National Honors Society, Purple Reign, Key Club, Unified Tornadoes, and Softball Team. I am also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Slammer Softball team. I attended the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis Indiana in 2022, 2023 and 2024. I have served as FFA Greenhand Reporter my freshman year, FFA Vice President of Communications my sophomore and junior year, and will serve as the Vice President of Public Relations my senior year. I represented our Taylorville FFA chapter at the one-week Washington D.C. Farm Bureau FFA Premier Chapter Award Tour last June. I will be attending many leadership conferences throughout the school year, including the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, IN this fall and the National Association of Student Councils Leadership Convention in Orlando, Fl in March 2026. I received the honor of representing my class as the junior attendant at the 2025 THS Winter Formal. I am currently employed as a Kennel Technician and Veterinarian Technician at Countryside Veterinary Clinic, as well as babysit and dog sit. After high school I plan to pursue a double Bachelors degree in Animal Science and Ag Business, followed by attending graduate school to receive my doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. I hope to return to Christian County where I will serve my community as a practicing veterinarian. I am excited to be a member of the Christian County CEO Class of 2026. I look forward to building my leadership and communication skills, expanding my character development, and becoming more active in my community.
