About Me

Hello! My name is Julie Wayman, and I am currently a junior at Taylorville High School. I have grown up in the Taylorville community and attended St. Mary’s School through sixth grade before moving to Taylorville Junior High and eventually Taylorville High School. Throughout my life, I have always been heavily involved in sports, which have taught me important lessons about teamwork, discipline, time management, and perseverance. Currently, I participate in high school girls golf, girls basketball, and girls track and field. In addition to high school sports, I compete in girls AAU basketball, which takes up most of my summer and gives me the opportunity to compete at a higher level, travel, meet new people, and continue improving my skills. I am also a very active member of the Taylorville FFA Chapter, where I serve as a co-reporter for our chapter. Being involved in so many activities has helped me become a hardworking and determined person who is always willing to challenge myself and learn from my experiences. I chose to take CEO during my junior year because I believe it will help shape me into a more confident and well rounded individual while preparing me for my senior year and life after high school.
