About Me

Hello, my name is Isabelle Morrow and I am a junior at Taylorville High School. Living in Shelbyville and attending kindergarten through eighth grades at Sacred Heart School in Pana, I made the transfer to Taylorville High School, with a focus in the Agricultural Program. Being an active member of the Taylorville FFA Chapter, I have served as the Greenhand Co-President and the Vice President-Junior Class Representative. While being in FFA I have had the opportunity to compete in Agricultural Research, Supervised Agricultural Experience, Livestock Evaluation, and multiple Career Development Events that have all strengthened my public speaking, interviewing abilities, problem solving, responsibility, and time management. 

 Outside of school, I am an eighth year active member of the Coldspring Copperheads 4-H Club where I have served as the club secretary for the past six years. Starting in 4-H gave me the spark of being passionate about exhibiting livestock. Over the past four years, I have focused on showing Simmental and Angus heifers and have worked on raising my own heifers to show and later put back in my herd. After competing in Master Showmanship at the county and state levels, I found I have a passion for the sheep industry as well. I entered and received a grant in order to purchase my very first ewe from a popular flock in Pennsylvania, after doing so I exhibited her at the county and state fairs and have found much success.

 I am currently employed at Shelby Veterinary Service and Clavin Dairy Farms. Shelby Veterinary Service is a family owned operation that focuses on the health of large and small animals. I work as an assistant and also assist with cleaning up at the end of the day throughout the week. Clavin Dairy Farms is a third generation family owned dairy operation where 230 Holstein cows are milked three times a day. At the farm, I work as the milk hand, cow mover, help with calf care, and wherever else is needed.

I am looking forward to this upcoming year of being involved in the Christian County CEO Program in hopes to continue building public relations and personal skills that will last a lifetime.
