About Me

Hello, my name is Gavin Vacker. I am a lifelong resident of Taylorville and a senior at Taylorville High School.

I have been involved in Boy Scouts since first grade and earned the rank of Eagle Scout on January 4, 2026. For my Eagle Scout Project, I built Buddy Benches at Central, North, and Memorial Schools.

Faith and service are an important part of my life. I have attended Calvary Baptist Church since December 2024 and gave my life to Christ on February 2, 2026. I serve in the kids ministry and help photograph Sunday services and other church events.

I am also involved in my high school's photography club, Tommy Photo. Through Tommy Photo, I have had the opportunity to photograph a variety of events, including football, volleyball, basketball, and the Tommy Awards.

I joined the Christian County CEO program because I want to grow as a leader, learn more about the business community in Christian County, and better understand what it takes to turn ideas into meaningful opportunities. I believe the program will challenge me to step outside of my comfort zone, build relationships with local business leaders, and develop skills that I can carry with me beyond high school. Most importantly, I want to use what I learn to continue serving and making a positive impact in my community.
