About Me

Hi, I am Kennedie Cearlock. I was born in Springfield, IL and have lived in Taylorville for all 17 years I have been alive. My parents are Jamie and Kelly Cearlock, and I am forever indebted to them for their continuous support and for blessing me with the life I have. I grew up attending St. Mary's Catholic School, a decision by my parents that I believe led to me attaining many valuable qualities. There, I learned the importance of working hard and having discipline, met some of my lifelong friends, and grew further in my faith all while receiving a fantastic education. 

    Now a senior at Taylorville High School, I am the President of Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Purple Reign. I love participating in volleyball and soccer too. Throughout my high school career (including the summers), I have worked diligently, taking college courses so that when I graduate high school, I not only will be getting my high school diploma but also an Associate's Degree in Science. I still continue to engage with my church and participate in its youth group as well. In the free time I manage to find in my busy life, I enjoy reading books, exercising, spending time with family and friends, and of course, watching movies and t.v. shows.

    As my high school career is coming to an end, I look forward to what the future holds even though it is uncertain. I hope to attend a university somewhere down South and earn a Master's Degree in hopes of becoming either a nurse anesthetist or a family medicine doctor as I have always had an interest in the medical field. Although CEO is a more business-oriented class, I am looking forward to further developing my communication and people skills, which will help me all throughout my life no matter my career choice. As one might expect, I am also excited to start my own business! Who knows, by the end of the year, I might just be changing my entire career path!

About My Business

Hi, my name is Kennedie Cearlock. I am in the graduating class of 2022 at Taylorville High School. During my high school career, I have been actively involved in Student Council, serving on the executive board for the past three years, this year, specifically as the President. I also have played volleyball and soccer and am a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Purple Reign, and of course, the Christian County CEO program. After graduating, I plan to attend a university to major in Biology on a pre-med track. 

With the help of the CEO program, I established my first business, Cearlock’s Car Candies. Living on such a busy schedule and with little ones at home, I recognize how much a car’s smell is affected. You may have to eat a quick dinner in the car following a hectic night, or you might leave your stinky sports cleats in the back seat, or maybe you forget to grab your child’s sippy cup full of milk that fell under the seat. I get it- life can be busy, but why should the smell of your car suffer the consequences?
